Barrington Youth & Family Services is a community-based, non-profit social service agency, providing comprehensive family counseling, youth outreach and prevention programming for Barrington area youth and their families.

 

BYFS’ service boundaries coincide with Barrington Community Unit School District 220, including portions of Cook, Lake, McHenry, and Kane counties and Barrington, Cuba, Dundee, and Ela townships.

 

BYFS collaborates with local government, schools and community leaders to design programs that address the specific issues and needs of Barrington area families, as well as identify and respond to new issues as they emerge.

Agency Happenings...


BYFS offers free Divorce Support Group for District 220 K-8th grade students and parents.  Meets weekly on Mondays, February 1, 8, 15 and 22, and March 1 and 8, from 7:00-7:45 p.m. Learn more.

As indicated in District 220 communications, BYFS offers counseling and mental health assessments to address concerns of at-risk/unusual behavior. Call (847) 381-0345 for an appointment. Most insurance accepted, sliding fee scale available. The BYFS office is conveniently located across from Barrington High School.
